Someone has been where you are,           Someone is where you want to be ,               You are not alone!

OUR STORY

Connecting Women through the Art of Conversation

We strive to create a diverse community of women and girls who are

committed to encouraging, supporting & empowering one another through

the power of authentic conversation.

Through Conversations that Matter we will bring awareness to our similarities.

These conversations will build a bridge between communities so that we can learn to become more tolerant, understanding, empathetic and supportive of one another.

As individuals and communities, our empathy for others will grow and we all will embrace instead of not judging one another. This movement will create authentic connections, diverse communities, empowered women and the knowing that we are all in this together. All of this simply through the Art of Conversation

Alone, we may find our power but together we are powerful!

Our Mission

ABOUt the Founder

I once believed I was alone, I now see I am a WomanNotAlone.

I once thought I had nothing to say, I now have Conversations that Matter .

I once acted like no one had my story, I now see that others can say "Me Too"

  WELCOME!

My name is Leslie Peters RN and I am the founder of WomenNotAlone, Conversations that Matter

For almost 2 decades now, I have been practicing as a RN working in the homes of high risk                    pregnant women in Philadelphia's poorest neighborhoods. At first glance, it may seem as if we              have nothing in common. Within a short time, we discover that we what we have in common are  issues that we face as women; love, trust, relationships, confidence, fears, hopes and dreams.

We ask one another questions, we listen to and learn from one another. It's a safe space.  No  judgement. No consequences. We speak from the heart. We give one another permission to just  be  ourselves. Nothing to hide. Nothing to fear. Nothing to prove. Experiences are shared.

Secrets & shame are freed. We can say "me too".  A  connection is created.  Our similarities bring

 us together. Our differences appreciated.

I've learned a few valuable lessons along the way. The first                                                                                             is that no woman is alone in her story; although she may                                                                                   feel alone if she believes she can 't be herself with others then

The second is that most women, most people want to know 3

Do You Hear Me?  Do you see me?  Do I Matter?

.                                                                       When you have Conversations that Matter the answer to all                                                                             questions is a YES!
